We
believe that the Lord Jesus Christ shall bodily return to earth at the
end of this age in great power and glory in order to consummate His
Kingdom and execute judgment on all men. The righteous will be raised
up to immortality in the likeness of Christ's resurrection body and
will be gathered to dwell forever in His presence, enjoying everlasting
communion and unending bliss in the presence of Christ, to the glory of
God's grace. The unrighteous will be raised to suffer everlasting
punishment, separated from the Lord Jesus Christ and the beauty of His
presence, to the glory of His justice. This truth, though derided by
men, forms the basis of our hope and consolation, knowing that Christ
will cast all His enemies and ours into everlasting condemnation, but
He shall take all His elect to Himself into heavenly joy and glory.
